Our School Clubs
We are excited to offer a variety of before and after school clubs to provide students additional time to participate in activities they enjoy, learn new skills, and meet new friends. To learn more about each club, read the additional information below.
Art Club
Mr. Carstens
This year we have been exploring different art mediums and ways to use them. I am looking forward to introducing new materials as well as working on more collaborative projects. This extra time allows those students who are really interested in visual arts to ask the deeper questions and learn to enjoy the exploration. Art Club meets on Thursdays from 8:10 am-8:40 am.
Jump Rope Ninjas
Mr. Lundberg
In Jump Rope Ninjas Club, students learn the basics of jumping rope, like technique and pacing. As their skills improve, and students are able to jump for a longer duration, they will earn their ninja "belts" (colored bracelets) from white all the way to black. We welcome all students into our club, even if they have never jumped rope before. With a little practice, they can become a Jump Rope Ninja! Jump Rope Ninjas meet on Thursdays from 8:10 am-8:40 am.
Choir Club
Mr. Cormier
The Sue Morrow Choir is a club for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students who love to sing, play instruments, and perform! At our weekly morning rehearsals, students work on a variety of songs, including traditional, folk, and modern pieces, with the goal of performing several concerts each school year. In addition to singing, choir students learn to perform songs using instruments, such as the ukulele, recorder, and orff percussion instruments. Choir meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:10 am-8:55 am. Please see Mr. Cormier if you would like to join the Sue Morrow Choir!
Makerspace
Ms. Marshall
Makerspace is a place where you can make things. It's a place for hands-on learning with all the tools for creativity. Students are able to learn, build, experiment and create! Makerspace meets on Thursdays from 8:10 am-8:40 am.
